About Us
Welcome to the Fisher Special Needs Ability Foundation, created from a mother’s dedication to her children and their experiences. Edith Yee-Fisher founded this nonprofit inspired by her son Lukas, who has Down syndrome, and her daughter Olivia, who has been a steadfast support to her brother.
Edith recognized the transformative impact that educational support and empowerment can have on individuals with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities. Our foundation offers scholarships to help young adults pursue post-high school education and advocates for greater inclusivity and recognition of their abilities.
Our mission is straightforward: enable educational and vocational success for those with developmental disabilities, and cultivate a society where every individual is valued and equipped to succeed.
Join us in making a positive impact. Together, we can empower every person to reach their full potential.
